Growing up Hurts

Mom!  How could you let them do that to me???

Awh, poor Tristan.  He had his 4 mo today, and well, it came with shots.  He recovered pretty fast and feel right to sleep, but he's been whimpering ever since we got home.  He's doing well, 50 % for his weight and 75 % for his head and height.  So mommy makes good milk, and speaking of that, taking the bottle away has done wonders!  He hasn't had a problem since Sunday breastfeeding.  Life is going well.

And Shelly agreed with me.  He needs a helmet.  Eventually, as he gets older, his neck is going to get stronger and fix itself, he might always be tight on the one side, but it will get better.  His head shape though?  That needs to be fixed now.  So we got an appointment for Tuesday to see the occupational therapist.  Hopefully this will work.  Ulgh, and I have to take Rajah to the vet to get fixed on Tuesday too….it's going to be a long day.  Oh!  And Rajah somehow escaped today, because I found her on the porch when I got home from Tristan's appointment, covered in dirt and leaves.  Nice.  Guess who else is getting a bath then???

It was nice going back and seeing everyone, well, most everyone…..half the office had already gone to lunch.  I miss working, but it's good being home with Tristan.  Shelly told me I was doing the right thing, and that being a mom is the hardest job but comes with the most dividends.  She's totally right.  I still miss being able to socialize and help patients, draw blood, give shots….all that sort of thing.  But I'm glad I can be here everyday for my baby.
