Pass the peas

Well, today in honor of his 6 month b-day, I let Tristan have a little treat.  Peas!  His pediatrician said it would be ok if he was doing fine with the cereal.  He has to wait another month before we dive into fruit.  So I mixed up the peas, with some rice cereal and breast milk, and he loved it!  Ate almost the entire bowl.  It was super cute, he kept chomping for the spoon and slurping everything up.  Still not terribly coordinated, so a lot dribbled down his chin and I had to scoop it back into his mouth, but it's a start.  We'll keep with the peas this week and try carrots or green beans next week if he does ok.  I guess I'm in for a treat myself tomorrow when I change his diapers…..I've been calling his bowel changes "man diapers"…..since that's pretty much what they remind me of.  How soon can I potty train???
