Today we went to my sister Faith's house to have Tristan's baby blessing and then a family dinner afterwards. It was very nice to have Nick's parents there as well as some of my siblings and their families. I was especially excited when I walked into the house and saw Becky sitting on the couch. I didn't think she was going to be able to come because she had been feeling poorly after chemo, but what a great surprise and blessing to have her be there. I'm also very grateful for Faith and Ron letting us use their home for such a special occasion, and it was also nice to have Andrea, my brother Jacob's wife, come with her darling children. Their little boy Daniel is only a year older than Tristan. It was an amazing experience. My parents had gotten Tristan a very adorable blessing outfit that he looked so cute in. And it was very nice to hear Nick bless our little boy. Being a parent is such a huge responsibility, but also a tremendous blessing. I'm glad that was how he got to celebrate his first Father's day. Thank you to all who came and participated and made it such a wonderful experience.
